Working Together 2018

 

Guidance on effective multi-agency working to safeguard children for use across all agencies working with children and young people is  provided in HM Government Working together to safeguard children, July 2018.   This statutory guidance covers the legislative requirements and expectations on individual services to safeguard and promote the welfare of children; and a framework for local safeguarding children partnerships to monitor the effectiveness of local services. The document replaces Working Together to Safeguard Children (2015).  It should be read in conjunction with the following:

Keeping Children Safe in Education

The Department for Education (DfE) has published revised Statutory Guidance – Keeping Children Safe in EducationKeeping Children Safe in Education – for schools and colleges which came into force on 5 September.  The Association of Independent LSCB Chairs (AILCs) has alerted Redbridge LSCB to some useful resources related to the guidance which include a short video presentation, booklet, checklist and training resources for use with staff.
