Introduction

RSCP partner agencies offer ‘in house’ safeguarding training for their own staff and volunteers.  Below are details of how you can find out more about what training might be available to you via your employing or umbrella agency.

London Safeguarding Children Partnership

The London SCP has published information on their website about a number of multi-agency safeguarding courses that are taking place between November 2022 and February 2023 – please see link below.  The range from parental mental health and substance abuse, fabricated illness through to safer recruitment.  Bookings are via Eventbrite.

UNICEF Child Rights Training

London Borough of Redbridge

A number of training programmes are available to staff working within the London Borough of Redbridge.

Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSWs) have a specially commissioned Training Programme as part of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) Programme.  For more information, contact learning.development@redbridge.gov.uk.

Training specific to social care professionals in both adults’ and children’s services is available from Redbridge Health and Social Care; contact learning.development@redbridge.gov.uk for more information.

Employees of London Borough of Redbridge and key RSCP partners additionally have access to the Research in Practice (RiP) Delivery Programme.

LBR Early Years & Childcare Training Programme

The 2019 – 2020 Training Programme  is available and courses relating to safeguarding and children’s welfare can be found from pages 14 – 20.

NELFT

NELFT practitioners can access information with regard to requirements for safeguarding training on the NELFT Intranet Training and Development page, where you will find the Training Matrix and the Training Course Calendar.

NHS North East London (NEL) ICB

NHS NEL clinical and non-clinical staff have access to a wide range of safeguarding training – both face-to-face and elearning.  Further information is available on the staff Intranet.

LBR Education Training Service for Schools

The Borough’s Education Welfare Service provide a range of safeguarding training courses as a traded service to schools and other groups.    These include Safeguarding Level 1 (Standard); Safeguarding Level 2 (Advanced); and Safeguarding Level 3 (Extended).  See flyer below.

Redbridge Council of Voluntary Services (RedbridgeCVS)
